Speaking up for abused and neglected children through Court Appointed Special Advocates, CASA volunteers.
Learn moreVisit websiteFor the last 35 years, Advocates for Children CASA has been committed to speaking up for abused and neglected children through Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA volunteers, who are trained to advocate for the best interests of children both inside and outside of the courtroom. These volunteers work with one child or one sibling group at a time. They get to know the children and their circumstances and then make recommendations to the court and other professional parties regarding what they believe is in these children’s best interests. In addition to serving children through our traditional CASA program, Advocates for Children CASA also provides three wrap around service programs for our community. Our Truancy CASA volunteers work with children who are involved in the truancy court in Arapahoe County. Our tutoring program helps children who are in need receive one-on-one academic support in order to help them achieve their full potential. We have found that almost 100% of our children are behind in their schooling so these additional education resource help bring more of our kids up to grade level and beyond. And lastly, the Advocates for Children CASA Legacy Project works with our teens to support them in becoming self sufficient adults.
